Howdy Folks

Welcome To Our Place In West Oamaru

If you are wondering about the beard it is real I’ve had it since I was born. Yes I was born in Oamaru. I’m an Omnet spelt with one T and my parents named me Geof spelt with a G and one F. I’ve been asked to tell you about my life and what we do in Smash Palace.

I had a normal childhood they educated me the best they could at Waitaki Boys High. I took my education and applied it buying and selling grain to farmers but I got restless and wanted a bigger challenge in life. Ever since I was a lad I’ve have always been keen on two things; tits and wheels. I couldn’t always have both at once so I settled on the wheels.

In case you are wondering where West Oamaru is, if you drive south down State Highway One and into Thames Street the right hand side of the main street is called West Oamaru and our place is on the right hand side down near the end by the railway line.

I purchased Meeks Flour Mill 25 years ago. The Building was built by J & T Meek Millers and Grain Merchants. The historic building which was once called Roller Mills is 4 stories high and we have 65,000 square feet of floor area. We call ourselves Smash Palace because we deal in smashed up motor vehicles. We disassemble them and sell them as parts. Our point of difference over other car dismantlers is that we have made it our business to stock parts for the early model vehicles such as Ford Escorts and Cortinas, etc.

We sell both new and second hand parts and we have over 400 second hand motors on the floor for all makes and models. We have a large range of new and second hand tyres and we have a fleet of 22 cars and vans for rental and our customers are New Zealand wide. We employ 4 staff and we tell our clients if its new or used then don’t buy it until you have called us for a cheaper option.
